Captain Shorty Smith offers classic inshore and back lake fishing for speckled trout, redfish, black drum and flounder in the Rockport, Texas area year around.
Depending upon the local conditions, fish patterns and time of year, clients may elect to fish with live or dead bait, or artificial lures. Fishing can be bay fishing from a 22' Pathfinder Tournament Edition or shallow, back lake fishing from a large Panther Airboat. Fishing from the boat or wade fishing along many flats, grass beds and oyster reefs are common.

Rates
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations affect us signifcantly. A last minute cancellation leaves us little chance of filling the reserved space due to the nature of our business. For these reasons, we uphold a strict cancellation policy. Cancellations made 30 days before your trip are transferable. After 30 days prior to your scheduled trip, no refund is possible regardless of the reason. You can replace your guests at anytime but we cannot refund money for no-shows unless we are able to re-book the space.
Weather:
Texas weather is often windy, wet and sometime violent of which we have no control. Windy conditions and light drizzle are normally not reasons for cancellation. Consequently, we are very careful in consulting with the client before any decisions are made to cancel a trip. The guide ultimately determines the final decision. If weather cancellation occurs, you have the option of re-scheduling or obtaining a refund.
